I Used to Just Know
The first time I ever had Botox, I didn’t overthink it. No spiraling. No research rabbit holes. No questioning what I should be doing. I just did it and I remember being genuinely surprised by how much I liked the result. It felt simple. An easy decision. Clear results. And I didn’t think much about it after that.
About five years went by.
Then I went back again.
That time, I paused more. For me it wasn’t an easy, in-the-moment decision anymore like it had been the first time. This time I had to think about it first, really sit with it, and then make the appointment. I was noticing changes I couldn’t ignore. My skin didn’t feel the same. There was more dropping, more sagging in certain areas, and it shifted the way I looked at everything.
And now here I am again…
Seven years later.
But this time it feels completely different...
I feel overwhelmed.
We know collagen (https://bellame.com/l/ym9yyDX971) loss is continuous and does accelerate with age, especially after your 30s and again around perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal shifts, often in the mid-40s and beyond, can change skin thickness, hydration, elasticity, and how volume loss shows up. Muscle response can subtly change over time, which can affect how Botox looks or how long it lasts. And the fat pads in the face gradually shift and deflate, which changes facial structure and how certain areas start to feel less supported. Over time, real shifts do happen but they don’t always feel gradual. We were talking about body changes once, and one of my friends made me laugh when she said she looked in the mirror and thought, “Mom, what are you doing here?” It made me laugh so hard but it stuck with me because I feel that same thing too!
And after hearing other women say out loud that they felt the same way, unsure of what to do, what makes sense, or how often anything should even be done I realized I wasn’t the only one thinking like this.
Whether you want to come just to learn better skincare, explore ways to improve your skin, or simply understand what options are out there this really isn’t about injections. It’s about information.
On Thursday, June 4th, we’re hosting an intimate evening at Kindred & Crew, a small group, real conversation, and no pressure to decide anything that night or ever.
Andrea will walk us through what’s actually out there skincare, threads, lasers, microneedling, PRP, and newer energy-based treatments. The truth is, it’s not just about the treatments. It’s about what you’re trying to correct, what you’re trying to maintain, and how much upkeep you actually want to live with.
And sometimes just hearing it all explained clearly without the noise, without the pressure is enough to make things feel simple again.
That’s what this night is.
Not a pitch. Not a procedure plan. Just clarity in a world that makes everything feel more complicated than it needs to be.
